Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026
The Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026), taking place in Gdańsk, Poland, on 25-26 June 2026, will bring together governments, international organizations, financial institutions, businesses, local authorities, and civil society to strengthen support for Ukraine’s recovery, reconstruction, and long-term development. Co-hosted by Poland and Ukraine, the conference aims to mobilize investment, foster international partnerships, and accelerate Ukraine’s economic transformation and European integration.
The UN4UkrainianCities Initiative will actively participate in URC 2026, contributing to the discussions on housing recovery, sustainable urban planning, energy efficiency, resilient infrastructure, project preparation, and municipal capacity-building as essential foundations for attracting investment and delivering long-term recovery outcomes.
UNECE will primarily contribute to the Local and Regional Dimension of the Conference, highlighting the critical role of local governments and communities in driving Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction efforts. Through the UN4UkrainianCities Initiative and its broader work on housing, land management, urban development, and sustainable energy, UNECE has been supporting national and local authorities in developing strategic recovery frameworks, investment-ready projects, housing policy reforms, and capacity-building programmes. Drawing on practical experiences from cities such as Kharkiv and Mykolaiv, UNECE will share lessons learned on strengthening local resilience, advancing sustainable urban recovery, and translating long-term recovery visions into implementable actions that improve the lives of Ukrainian communities.
The URC 2026 serves as a key platform for international stakeholders to engage in Ukraine’s recovery and sustainable development. For more information about the conference, please visit the official website:
